The Pure Sauna can heat up internally to 130°F with near 100% humidity which may feel subjectively hotter and can elicit greater strains on the cardiovascular system.
Why? Water has a higher heat capacity than air. When you're in a steam sauna, the air is saturated with water vapor which carries more heat energy to your body than dry air would at the same temperature.
This is why the temperature is lower in steam saunas but the humidity can make it just as intense, if not more so, than a dry sauna

A quick dry & machine washable absorbent sweat mat for the floor of the sauna is included in every order. After use, we recommend leaving the door flap open to air out and wiping down the water vapor on the inside walls.
